How to add a border to a photo

    Choose your photo. A 32-pixel ivory border on all sides is enabled to get you started.

    Choose all sides or top and bottom. Adjust the width with the slider or pixel input, and pick a preset color or custom RGB.

    Double-click or double-tap the crop for a theater preview, then process and download the framed image.

Borders are added outside the image. A 1200 × 800 image with a 32-pixel border on all sides becomes 1264 × 864. Top-and-bottom borders produce 1200 × 864. Corners are square.

Frequently asked questions

Does the frame cover part of my photo?

No. The frame extends the canvas around the processed image, so it does not cover the crop contents. The final dimensions include the border.

Can I add white or black borders?

Yes. Use the custom RGB inputs: 255, 255, 255 for white or 0, 0, 0 for black. Eight muted preset colors are also available.

Can I make a cinema-style image?

Choose a cinema crop ratio such as 1.85:1, 2.35:1 or 2.39:1, then add top-and-bottom borders. The crop ratio applies to the image content; adding borders changes the final canvas ratio.
